Apple Car Project "Titan" Is Dead in the Water... Apple to Focus on AI
Apple Car, not a complete give-up?

There's a lot that's been said about the Apple Car abandonment, so we thought we'd share our thoughts.
Let's start with what's been reported.

Apple (AAPL: US) has been working for the past decade to bring Apple Car to market. The Apple Car development project was called Titan, and it was done through a Special Project Group.
Apple COO Jeff Williams and Apple VP Kevin Lynch have notified employees working on the Apple Car development project of the decision to disband the group and will reportedly reassign them to the generative AI division within Apple.
The Apple Car was slated to launch in 2025 and reportedly included the development of semiconductor chips for autonomous driving, autonomous driving software, and more.

Has Apple really given up on the Apple Car?

- Apple wanted to be king of all the computers in the world

- Autonomous driving + EVs

Let's go back to square one: why did Apple want to start the Apple Car?

Apple is a company that wants to be the king of all computers in the world.
In Apple's world, you have to have a Mac in your office, on your desk, an iPhone or iPad in your hand, and an Apple Watch on your wrist.
But what do you need when you're on the go? You need an Apple car.

As we move past the internal combustion engine and into the era of electrification and electric vehicles, the car will need to be more than just a means of transportation, it will also need to be an electronic device and a computer. The technology that can maximize this is autonomous driving.

Where does the accumulated data go?

Apple is accumulating data from the development and manufacturing of Apple Car, as well as data collected through Apple Car Play, which is being utilized globally. What happens to this accumulated data?
The Apple Car project may be dead, but Apple's plans for the future of mobility aren't, and it's likely that Apple will have a new project in the near future.

What Apple Will Do: Artificial Intelligence

Microsoft (MSFT: US) has overtaken Apple to become the number one market capitalization on the US stock market.
Microsoft's market capitalization was driven by artificial intelligence, and it's clear that Microsoft has the technology that Apple doesn't, and that Apple has missed.
AI is the technology Apple needs to focus on now. I think the AI developers who worked on the Apple Car project will do a great job.

US Stocks: Apple (APPL:US); Can it soar again? :)

Apple will be searching for the next generation of computing platforms to rival the Apple Car. It will be looking for ways to put the data it has accumulated to good use, and prove that the time and money it has invested so far has not been in vain.
